About Avril Sauvage
Professional Experience & Qualifications
I am a qualified clinical supervisor and psychotherapist working with adults who want to better understand themselves, their emotions, and the impact of past experiences. My work is grounded in over twenty years of therapeutic experience and a Master’s Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, alongside ongoing professional development and reflective practice.

Many of the people who come to me feel overwhelmed by their emotional responses, stuck in repeating patterns, or unsure why they react the way they do in relationships and in life. Often, these difficulties are connected to earlier experiences that have never had the space to be safely understood or processed.
My role is not to “fix” you, but to work alongside you as you gently explore your inner world and build the capacity to hold your experiences with more understanding and compassion.
My practice is relational and grounded in trauma-informed care - meaning we work at your pace in a safe, supportive way that honours your experience, so that meaningful and lasting change becomes possible.
I am committed to offering a respectful, non-judgmental, and confidential space where you can feel met as you are.
I work with clients in person in Waterford, online across Ireland, and with people across Europe.
